As a Columbus, Ohio native who was concerned about upcoming AEP rate increases, Luke M. reached out to us to explore ways to reduce his rising electric bills. After reviewing his month-to-month energy costs, he was eager to see whether switching to solar could provide long-term savings and greater control over his monthly utility bill. After Luke connected with one of our Solar Guides and learned more about the process, benefits, and overall impact of going solar, he felt confident moving forward.

Once our Solar Guide took a close look at Luke’s recent electric bills and discussing any potential changes in future energy usage, they designed a 7.70 kW solar system tailored specifically to his home and energy needs. The system features 19 Qcells DUO BLK ML G10+ – 405 panels and is designed to produce approximately 8,785 kWh of clean electricity per year, significantly offsetting his annual energy consumption and helping protect him from future utility rate increases.

Luke approved the system design and had a clear understanding of the projected production and savings, and from then on our Solar Guide handled everything else! That included conducting a site evaluation, managing permitting and utility interconnection, and coordinating installation scheduling around his availability to make everything as seamless as possible.

After installation was completed and all inspections were passed, Luke’s system was officially turned on, and he began generating renewable energy right away. Throughout the journey, his dedicated Solar Guide provided consistent updates and support, ensuring he always knew what to expect next. When the system went live, his guide walked him through the Enphase monitoring app, showing him how to track his energy production and system performance, giving him real-time insight into the impact of his solar investment. Now, Luke is producing his own clean energy and enjoying greater energy independence, knowing he made a smart investment in his home and future!
