Setting the Gold Standard for Solar

Gold Path Solar designs and installs personalized residential solar systems for homeowners across Ohio, Kentucky, and South Carolina. Our employee-owned team also provides commercial solar and battery storage, managing system design, permitting, utility interconnection and installation through one accountable team.

Why Gold Path Solar?

Gold Path Solar was founded after more than 20 years in the solar industry to give property owners a better way to go solar. Too many customers face confusing presentations, high-pressure sales tactics, disconnected contractors and poor communication. We built an employee-owned solar company around clear guidance, personalized system design and accountable service.

Residential solar installation is our primary focus. We also design commercial solar and battery storage systems. Every recommendation starts with your property, electricity usage, roof or site conditions, local utility requirements and long-term energy goals.

A dedicated Solar Advocate stays with you throughout the project, giving you one consistent point of contact from consultation and design through permitting, utility interconnection, installation and activation. Our in-house team handles the details, keeps you informed and works toward 100% customer satisfaction at every stage.

The Benefits of Solar Power

Savings

Solar energy can offset electricity you would otherwise purchase from the utility company, resulting in significant bill savings for many property owners. Your actual savings will depend on your electricity use, system production, utility rates, financing and available incentives.

Rate Protection

Electricity costs can rise quickly, with increases of more than 20% seen in some markets. Generating part of your own electricity can reduce the effect of future utility-rate increases and give you greater control over long-term energy expenses.

Increased Self Sufficiency

A solar system allows your home or business to generate electricity on-site instead of relying entirely on the utility grid. Battery storage can make more of that energy available after sunset and support selected electrical loads during an outage.

A Greener World

Solar power can reduce the amount of electricity your property draws from conventional generation sources. That lowers your carbon footprint while supporting cleaner energy production for your family, business and community.

Our Solar Installation Process

Solar is more than a business for Gold Path Solar. We take time to understand your property, electricity use and energy goals before recommending a system.

Your dedicated Solar Advocate stays involved throughout the project, giving you one consistent point of contact from consultation and design through permitting, installation and activation.

Step 1 Consultation & Design

Your project begins with a no-obligation consultation with a dedicated Solar Advocate. We review your home or business, electricity usage, property conditions and solar goals, then consider the local permitting and utility requirements that may affect the project.

If solar is a good fit, our team prepares a personalized system design. Your Solar Advocate can also help you compare the financing options currently available through third-party financial institutions.

Step 2 Site Survey

An in-house solar technician visits your property to inspect the roof or proposed installation area, electrical panel, meter and other project details.

The information collected during the site survey allows our engineering team to confirm the system design and prepare the documents needed for permitting and utility interconnection.

Step 3 Permits & Utilities

Your Solar Advocate remains your main point of contact while our operations team manages the permit and utility interconnection process.

We prepare the required applications, coordinate project documentation and work with the appropriate authorities and utility company. Once the necessary approvals are in place, your installation is added to the schedule.

Step 4 Solar Installation

Our experienced installation team arrives on the scheduled date and installs your solar-energy system according to the approved design.

The average solar installation is completed in one day. Larger or more complex projects may require additional time. We communicate the schedule before work begins and treat your home or business with care throughout the installation.

Step 5 Ready to Go!

After the system is commissioned and passes final inspection, the utility company may replace or reprogram your meter and issue Permission to Operate.

We then help you access your system-monitoring platform so you can track production. Gold Path Solar remains available for support related to your installation after the system begins generating electricity.

Solar Installations FAQ

Get clear answers to common questions about solar suitability, monthly costs, potential savings, net metering and Gold Path Solar’s service area.

Solar may be a good fit when your property has suitable roof or ground space, adequate sunlight, meaningful electricity use and financial or energy goals that align with the proposed system.

Gold Path Solar reviews your electricity usage, property conditions, local utility requirements and available installation area before recommending a personalized residential or commercial solar system.

That depends on your current electricity bill, system price, financing terms, expected production, available incentives and future utility rates.

Your Solar Advocate can compare the proposed solar payment with your current electricity costs and explain how each may change over time. Financing is provided through third-party institutions, so rates, terms, eligibility and availability vary.

Many property owners achieve significant electricity-bill savings with solar, but the amount varies by project.
Your estimated savings will depend on:

1. Electricity consumption
2. Utility rates
3. System size
4. Solar exposure
5. Expected production
6. Financing
7. Available incentives
8. Current utility credit rules

Your personalized proposal will include production and financial estimates based on the information available for your property.

Net metering is a utility billing arrangement that may provide credits for excess solar electricity your system sends to the grid. A bidirectional meter tracks electricity flowing to and from your property. The utility then applies credits according to its current rate structure and program rules. Availability, eligibility and credit values vary by utility.

Gold Path Solar installs residential and commercial solar systems throughout Ohio, Kentucky and South Carolina. Ohio is our largest market, and we also maintain a physical presence in South Carolina. Enter your ZIP code or contact our team to confirm service availability for your property.
