Michael M. Case Study

Production: 15,367 kWh per year
Number of Solar Panels: 34
Michael M. lives in Delaware, Ohio, and contacted us to learn more about how he could lower his electric bill. After seeing how much he was spending month over month, he wanted to see if solar could help lessen this expense. Once Michael met with one of our Solar Guides, he learned all the ins and outs of making the energy transition — and he was sold.
After reviewing Michael’s monthly electric bill and taking note of any new electric appliances he might be adding in the coming months, we designed a 14.62 kW system that would be installed on the rear two roof planes, out of sight from the road in front of his home. This system includes 34 Silfab 430W QD panels, combined with Enphase IQ8M microinverters, to produce 15,367 kWh of electricity — enough to offset 100% of his estimated annual electricity usage.
After Michael approved the design and the expectations were clearly outlined, he was ready to proceed with his proposed system. We handled the entire process, starting with a site evaluation and moving on to permitting, making the experience as easy as possible. Shortly after all permitting and utility interconnection were completed, Michael was added to our scheduling queue for installation, and we set up a date that worked with his schedule. Once the system was fully installed and inspections were passed, he began generating clean, renewable energy almost immediately.
Throughout the entire process, Michael’s GPS Solar Guide supported him every step of the way with weekly updates and check-ins. Once the system was up and running, his guide walked him through the Enphase App, explaining how to track his energy production and monitor system performance, allowing him to see the real-world impact of his solar investment.
